Baking with Kids: A Lesson in Patience (and Creativity)
Here’s a little real-life story from my own kitchen. I always try to get my kids involved in baking, but with more than one kid, it’s a balancing act. Usually, I bake with one child at a time, so the others don’t fight over every task. And if I’m being honest, most of the time, the food ends up half-eaten or completely ignored. However, pancakes? A guaranteed win every time. It’s about finding those little moments of connection—just be prepared for the mess (and the fact that half the pancakes might disappear before they even hit the plate).
